Why am I being overcharged beyond my order?
Because there is a currency conversion fee when you pay with a credit card during an order transaction, this fee is charged by the card issuer and the merchant does not participate.
What is the currency conversion fee?
Currency conversion fee: also known as international settlement fee, generally occurs when the consumption currency is different from the credit card currency. For example: your credit card account is denominated in US dollars, but now you go to a UK/European website to buy goods in GBP/EUR, then there will be a foreign currency conversion fee (GBP/EUR consumption, USD debit, both foreign currency exchange fees). Exchange fees vary between different banks and even between different credit cards. Generally, it is around 1.5%, between 1% and 2%. For details, you can consult the credit card center to inquire about the foreign currency exchange fee of your card.
